WRITERS HOUSE is a circa 1912 Arts & Crafts home for resident alumni to pursue self-directed retreats in quiet focus, in close proximity to 100 West, the Storefront and Historic Downtown.

This carefully restored, 2,300 square-foot, two-story home offers a spread of calm workspaces: a living room, library, baby grand piano room, breakfast room, wrap-around porch, with a full kitchen and laundry room. The house holds three bedrooms upstairs, and three full-bathrooms. Though it has new cooling and heating, the five inactive fireplaces remain simply for their beauty. All bedding, linens and basic appliances are provided. Accommodations are not ADA compliant. Meals are not provided.

Each bedroom on the second-floor includes a desk, full-size bed, closet, and private bathroom accessed from the hallway. Wireless internet and a machine washer & dryer are provided.

Opened in late 2022 after three years of preservation by co-founding artist Nancy Rebal and Jean Searcy, this beautiful American Four-Square retains the character and detail of its original design.
